MotionPoint Hires Senior E-Commerce Executive as SVP of Client Services

MotionPoint's groundbreaking approach to Website Language Management (WLM) continues to attract more world-class executive talent to its South Florida headquarters. The company recently added Charles Whiteman to its roster; Whiteman is MotionPoint's new Senior Vice President of Client Services.

In this role, Whiteman now manages communications with new MotionPoint clients and oversees the deployment process of those new WLM multi-lingual client sites. He also manages company interactions with current clients, and will assist in building MotionPoint's marketing services.

"MotionPoint has nailed the ability to do WLM much faster, better and at a dramatically lower total cost of ownership than anyone else," Whiteman said. "So far, companies have come to us when they recognize a need to deploy a multi-language website. I'm here to help deliver an ROI that's so compelling that a company would be nuts not to work with MotionPoint."

Whiteman is an experienced executive with more than 15 years of strategy, marketing and technology experience. Prior to joining MotionPoint, Whiteman served as Executive Vice President of Divers Direct, a Ft. Lauderdale-based scuba and snorkeling equipment specialty retailer. There, he spearheaded an initiative to transform the then-three store chain into a multi-channel catalog and online retailer. Under his leadership, the company became the world's largest retailer of its kind. Sales increased by more than 2X, and four additional retail stores were opened. He was with the company for nine years.

Before joining Divers Direct, Whiteman was an Engagement Manager of the international consultancy Accenture. He has an MBA from the University of Michigan.
